A group of kids learn of a cave filled with gems and decide to explore their local caves, when they are accidentally transported to another planet they must find a way home…if they can survive.
Additional Information
After watching the iconic 80s film The Goonies, I realized that there are hardly any adventure films for young girls that do not revolve around magic, fairies, rainbows, etc. I reiterated this sentiment to many women and not a single one could name a film where it is just a group of girls on a fun adventure. My sister, at eleven years old, came to me a few days later, having written a whole scene for a film I didn't plan on writing. She had created four dynamic girl characters and an idea for an adventure.
It dawned on me that girls, women, and dorky boys need a film like this, so I wrote it. The Lost Cave is a fun adventure film that follows a rambunctious group of girls and their scrawny boy acquaintance to find a cave that does not exist in their world.

This script is a gift and a love letter to my little brother and sisters. A movie that puts their personalities at the forefront instead of catering to the same narrative that we have seen time and time again.
