Logline

A young woman lies asleep in a hidden cottage, cursed to sleep for a hundred years when a young prince finds her.

Nine months later, she is awoken by the birth of her twins

After ten years, she is forced to seek out her abuser on a grand adventure to save her family.

Additional Information

Thorn to the Heart was the first feature film I had ever written. It is not an excellent representation of my work but a piece of my journey that I am exceptionally proud of. At just eighteen, I bit off more than I could chew and wrote a fantasy film which was a feat in itself.

The screenplay is a dark fantasy inspired by The Sun, the Moon, and Talia by Giambattista Basile, known to most as the original story of the now-famous "Sleeping Beauty."
